Is there anyone to help me out? I click on the HomeBrew Channel and it has no apps. What did I do wrong?

    Error in HBC
    Had mplayer 0.77 installed.
Homebrew update said I had an out of date version and then 'upgraded' to 0.76 and I lost my files that I had configured in player to have better menus.
Homebrew needs to check for the version number in a sequnce not just assume that it has the latest version.

A chipmodded or hardmodded Wii can accept both game disc updates and the Nintendo system update. One problem is that system menu 4.2 update removes your Wii's modchip ability to play out-of-region games. The Homebrew Channel is a software-based modification of the Wii and so, yes it is a softmod. Wiis can be both hard- and soft-modded. You can install the HBC in a hardmodded Wii.

I bought a modded Wii but have no idea what the mod was as I didn;t want to take it apart. I used the Nintendo update and put 4.2E on and then went through the procedure on this site to softmod. Homebrew and all other software I have tried works as it should.
Maybe you could try an installation first using the appropriate softmod instructions and see what happens. If you can't do that you could try what I have done but you need to follow the instructions very carefully to the letter !

    Hi There.
What should i do? Must i update? izzit a must? Can i? Basically i heard that, by using hardmod is not adviceable to update or will have problem reading illegal disc. That qns is impt i got to know. After all i just need homebrew channel right? so what with the twlight hack software? A game or a hack? i just don't understand? Sorry i am such a noobie here. Is there a direct way to install homebrew? The best is to give me link to learn to install homebrew channel.

Hope u understand my trouble, Thank you!
    Cheers!
