just installed mplayer dvd

and i installed the dvdx thing and ran it can i unistall like delet so its doesnt show up int eh home brew menu and will dvd play back still work

or do you always need it and it just

and i tryed just turning the wii off in the middle of a dvd and it turned off but would turn on is that normal do you always need to exit home brew and go back to the wii menu to turn your wii off

Ok about the DVD thing I belive that you must keep that in there and plus it is no big deal anyway. I belive that you should always exit homebrew and then turn your Wii off, but maybe it turned right back on becasue you held the button and as it turned off your pressure re turned it on?

ok, I just read "Guide to Twilight Hack and Wiigator's Backup Launcher" and it uses "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" and some game saves to do a softmod but in the instructions it says: "Take your homebrew Wii executable (elf or dol file) and save it in the root directory of your SD card as "boot.elf" or "boot.dol" as appropriate.".

My question is, what is the homebrew I should be using? Is it that "Wiigator's Backup Launcher"? is that the homebrew?

And is that all I'll need to do from now on once I get the homebrew installed is just pop in my game backups, select the homebrew icon and go to it?

I'm so confused. I've had a ps2 for so long I don't know the first thing about the Wii hacks yet.

Ok to start off Wiigators backup launcher is a HOMEBREW APP. it is not Homebrew itself. You want to get the homebrew channel so you can upload it so it is on your Wii all the time. Once you do have Homebrew channel after doing the Twilight Hack, you can download the Wiigator backup loader which I will not post a link to. You then can burn your backup ISO's onto most prefered Verbatim dvd-r at 2x with imgburn. Then load it but keep in mind not all games work with this ISO loader. I hope this was some help.

I will ask this here as it pertains to this thread more than the other one you were trying to help me in. I have a japanese version, with what I think is a D2ckey. I want to add the homebrew channel, so I am guessing that I need the japanese version, then the next step is I would like to change the menu system to english, what is going to be the best way to do that without bricking my wii.
