Hey Krank (or anyother helpful ppl out there)

I had a quick question about a post I made earlier in a different section, but it would probably be better suited for here.

Everything about the game works perfectly, until I try to choose a stage (map). At this point, the game freezes and makes a very very loud ERRRRR (think fire alarm). This problem can be circumvented though by setting the stage choice to random, so that the stage screen never appears. If this is done the game plays fine. But I can never choose a stage.

My first thought was that it was a poor burn to the disk, so I burned a new one. When that didn't work, I assumed it was a bad download, so I download a different version. Exact same problem. Then I put all my games on an external and loaded them all via USB (first neogama, but now GX). They all worked fine except for Super Smash, which still locked up on the exact same spot.
I looked over the other posts and couldn't find anything similar, so any help would be much appreciated. Let me know if you need any more information.

    Axel

Note: I did NOT use SSBB to install homebrew. I used Indiana Jones.
So according to your first post, the problem might be the break in the dual layer burn. However, I'm using USB loader GX. Is the break still a possible reason and if so how would I change the break if the image is just on my hard drive? (I'm using WBFS manager 3.0 to load my games on the the harddrive)

    Thanks!

Setting the layer break is only for burning the disk. I won't be of much help to you on this one...I don't even have the game. I suggest trying to reinstall the game using IOS249 (cIOS38 Rev 17) Or Hermes IOS222/223v4 (Using an original disk)

had trouble with despicable me (ntsc) on pal wii 4.2e ios249 thru usb loader gx & new prince of persia game . despicable me just loaded a black screen (tried forcing ntsc aswell) & p.o.p got to the ubisoft title bit then froze , both games work on neogamma r9 b9 tho . does this mean i just have to tinker with the settings in usb loader gx to make them work . sorry if this is a noobish kinda question as i have just converted to usb loading rather than disk .

Prince of Persia has a guide. You need a certain Revision of GX to get it to work. Not sure about the other game but if It works with neogamma, it should work with GX, CFG or any other loader. Try Different Revisions and yes you can try different settings in GX.

You will need cIOS38 rev17 to get these dual layered games to work.

    To get it see here...cIOS38Rev17.
I hate to be contrary to someone of your knowledge but i must point out that i have Super Smash running perfect with cios38 rev10.

Lol No one should have Rev10...It is outdated. Rev 14 has broken DL support. That is why Rev17 Is suggested. It is also the recommended Revision currently.

Alas I have to stick to rev10 as the USB port needed for using later revs is damaged beyond repair, however I must say that outdated as it is It works perfectly for everyone of my 142 games which include some of the more problematic ones, GH5 SSB, SMG2. Also works perfectly well with Neogamma r9, usbloader GX latest rev, CFG usbloader rev56, MplayerCE0.77, and all the gamecube backups work and the emulators............Its true what they say, they dont make em like they used to
