Thinking of trying this and I'm unclear on the disc/no disc thing. I'd like to sign up for an account now and watch stuff over the weekend. Do I need to wait for Netflix to send me the setup disc?

I have a 4.2 softmod and using usb loader gx

There is a 20mb scrubbed file available on torrent sites, if that is a route you choose to take. It is an .iso file that can be uploaded. No links, gonna have to make your own decision.
Give credit where credit is due. If it helps you, click "thanks" on ANY guide I link.

Use the 20mb file.. That was way easy. Movie is starting right now. Now I just need to learn how to get the forwarder/wad file to work.. and get dvdx working

system files are corrupted error message on exit

I followed the guide and netflix plays perfect. Thanks.

I do have one issue, when I exit I get the black screen of death ..."The system files are corrupted...." a hard reset and the system will boot up normally. It's just a pain, and a little nerve racking.

I am on 4.1U, I tried both a scrubbed version, and a netflix disc with the same result. All loaded via USB Loader GX.

Any help with this is much appreciated, thank you.

thank you, sir! works great so far on my 4.1U, using the Disc Channel with the Official Disc right now but someday I will probably try and put it on my HDD with USBLoaderGX and set up a forwarder like everyone's talking about. Streaming on the Wii is about 10 times faster than it was on my computer...makes me think there's something wrong with my computer.

"cloader v1.6 by cluster/wiininja. * hold b to override default settings * initializing WBFS.... *waiting for device [+] ERROR: could not initialize sd/usb subsystem! Press any button to restart."

This is what I get from my wii when running netflix channel that I downloaded from the first page of this thread. My usbloader gx works fine with everything on the hd. Any ideas on how to make the channel work? Thanks in advance.

one afterthought....I run usb loader as a channel too

    Hi everyone,

OK here is the deal. The forwarder channel listed on the first page will only work if your games are stored on a WBFS partition. The forwarder listed was created with Loadstructor and uses cLoader to load Netflix. cLoader is a standalone loader and does not require any usb loaders to be installed. Loadstructor/cLoader is no longer in development so if your games are not on WBFS the forwarder will not work.

However folks that use Wiiflow, USB Loader GX, or Configurable USB Loader are in luck. Wiiflow has added support for direct game loading from a channel. This is the loader that I use. You must have R148 or later installed and working before you try this channel.

I do not use USB Loader GX or Configurable USB Loader but I have created forwarders for them. The forwarder for Configurable USB Loader requires games to be stored on a FAT partition. These have not been tested because I do not use these loaders. I would suggest installing the latest version of the loader and make sure everything is working before trying these forwarders.

    Here are the links...

    Netflix Wiiflow Channel.wad

    Netflix UsbLoaderGX Channel.wad

    Netflix Conf Usb Loader.wad

UPDATE: Due to an issue posted by skellinator (post #90) I decided to test the USB Loader GX wad. The wad is ok and runs Netflix just fine. Please read his post and then my reply in (post #94).

can't get rid of system update notice

I followed this guide 2-3 months ago, and have no problems with Netflix or playing burned games - BUT ever since I slotted the official Netflix disk, the icon in the top left normally used for running games (or Netflix) always shows UPDATE SYSTEM. I've warned my family away from updates, and nobody ever clicks on it, but it's just so annoying. And now we can't even play original games unless we go thru homebrew, because we don't dare click on UPDATE SYSTEM.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the UPDATE SYSTEM....state(?) of that icon??

do you have priiloader installed on your system? if so make sure to turn on "disable disk updates" if you don't have it installed, the magical search button is your friend

I downloaded te usbloadergx wad and installed. It seemed to work but it blocked me from all rated r movies. My netflix settings are not set to do that. I logged off to have my wii tell me the file system is corrupt. I just rebooted to have the same "file system is corrupt" message. This is a BAD WAD>>>> How do we get this link taken down??????
