Regarding the Netflix and getting it to work on an E Wii, wouldnt it be possible to extract it from a neek nand dump, packing a wad and make it region free and then install it on a softmodded wii using a wad installer???
Ive only done this myself on uneek+di and it worked that way, exept I had to use ShowMiiwads to install it.

Here is a new issue I've come across for Netflix users, at random, some episodes of shows I've watched randomly freeze and I'm forced to power off and on the Wii, this started with the v1024 update, the old version ran fine, has anyone else experienced this issue

These are the steps I took to watch my Netflix US account on my Wii 4.2E PAL soft modded:

it works like a charme!
as Netflix just launched in UK, it is finally much easier to follow the steps above than to use the US/NTSC Netflix channel and have to change the Wii region to US and the output to NTSC.
hope this helps.

Is there any way to access Netflix via USB Loader GX? I can access via Wii Flow, but I like thew loader GX GUI better.
Thank you in advance

If you have the old Netflix disc, you can rip it to show up as a game. If not then I am not sure.

TX for the answer, but I have read that the nextflix version on the cd is old, and the Netflix navigation is not the best

Only Site Donators Can PM Staff
Yes. The latest gx 3.0 will display the nand channels.

Never mind, I didn't know that it was new version of gx loader. I just install it and know it does show as a regular game. Thanks for the tip

Going to post here since this seems to be the most "official" Netflix thread.
I have a red wii running 4.1U (I think it was a 4.3 before I softmodded) and yes, it's softmodded. I installed Netflix BEFORE I softmodded it last year (sometime in 2011, before November).
I've ran Netflix w/no problem and have continue to ignore the request to update the Netflix channel because I read the update sucked.
Well, as of this morning, I no longer have a "NO" option when it asks if I want to update Netflix. There is only "YES".
I haven't clicked it.
I'm deathly afraid I'll brick my wii (I accidentally bricked a previous wii, but luckily had purchased it at Costco, this one isn't from there though).
Here's my question:
As I stated, I have a red softmodded wii running 4.1u with Netflix already installed. My SD card slot is messed up, so I can't use my SD card for anything (and thus, can't check to make sure I have the "no online update options" checked, though I followed Mauifrog's softmod any wii guide, so I'm sure I DID check it for no updates). Since I can't check anything on my SD card, and can't use my SD card or SD card slot at all, I want to know if it's okay to update the NETFLIX CHANNEL on an already softmodded wii running 4.1U WITHOUT updating the shop channel.
I realize I may be asking a question that is already answered, but I want to make sure that because of my special circumstances (no SD card slot usage) that I'm going to be okay.
(Also, fyi, I am going to be ordering a replacement SD card slot but I'm moving in a week and have to wait until after then so it doesn't get lost between addresses).
I don't think my kids can function without Netflix (I cut cable off months ago).
