You don't extract it with winzip. You right click and select extract in wiiscrubber.

Your thread will be moved to the Reggie guide so look for your posts there.
    Damn I suck!!!!

finally can edit levels need help agian tho

I dont have an option to extract when I right click am I supposed to convert to iso first? If so how do I do that? Thanks for the help!

I tried opening with wiiscrubber but all it did was change it from zip file to arc and changed the icon, it also says unable to open key.bin.

Use the EDIT Button. Do not double post.
I finally got the levels up and having fun with them, I do however have a question about the xml files. Can you use texture hacks like a different color Mario with the edited levels? If so how do I go about editing the xml file?
P.S.Thanks for everyones help with my reggie/riivolution questions!

This is the same problem I'm experiencing, the game loads, music plays, but mario doesn't respond to any buttons on the wii remote (home button works though) and the clock doesn't start counting down.
The Goombas also walk past/through Mario as if he isn't really there.

I looked through this whole board but couldn't find a post whether you (or someone else) had solved this problem.

    I appreciate the help.

    Cheers

I have some trouble with number 2.

I already have a backup of my NSMB wii game from the reggie app. I made a keybin with the makekeybin app on the wiiscrubber140multiboot folder. Is the key.bin or the kkey.bin the keybin? When I went on the application, I typed in number 42 as it said it. Then I went on the Wiiscrubber app. Then I clicked Load ISO. Then I went to the stages file in the reggie file on the root of the sd card. then i only saw the textures folder so I had to change the show what files option to all files. Then I clicked on an .arc file and gave me an error. I couldnt get away from it. It kept on showing up so I had to restart my computer to get rid of it? What went wrong here?

Also according to what I KNOW, cant you get error 001 by doing something with iso games. I am not sure if nintendo still releases error 001. Can you get error 001 by doing something with iso games? I know I'm wrong with something here, I just don't know what I'm wrong at. How can people get error 001?

NOTE: I worry too much and I can't control myself when it comes to worrying. Dont yell at me because I ask questions all over again. I just do that to MAKE SURE the answers I get are right.

Independent ISO (.wbfs) with separate save data?

I've changed the GAMEID and Title of my ISO and modified the boot.bin file which Dolphin was pulling the old "SMNE01" from. I'm now realizing that Dolphin is pulling the banner and Title from the save info the game writes and that my original ISO and my modded ISO are also going to use the same save data. My conclusion is that the only way for the original and a mod to have different save data is to change the file name that my mod saves to. Is that correct? I haven't been able to find anyone posting about this. What file needs to be changed and how do I modify it? Is this not possible?

    Thanks for your knowledge!

    -Johnny

    Update:
I've been obsessing over this for hours and finally figured it out right after I asked. If anyone is curious - use a hex editor on boot.bin to change the info there and use PartitionBinChanger to change partition.bin.
    Here's a video I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3HmHA3e7A8&fmt=22

    Update 2:
I struggled with this forever. If you change the GAMEID, the last letter defines the region. I was getting my region as 'M'? because of M for mario.

Hi guys, sorry to sound dense, but I am having some problems getting wiiscrubber to load my files. When I click ' load iso ' and try to open the iso file, it gives me a ' wiiscrubber has encounted a problem ' with send error report button. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Not to mess any of you guys around, but I have fixed my problem by using riivolution. My son is so proper excited that he can now play his own levels on his Wii, and so am I. Cheers guys for all the advice in the guides, well good.

I gotta question for the elites out there...I have my original backed up on my wii but would like to put another copy of it on there to play around with in reggiedit. I have an iso of my game too. Can I just put the iso onto the game list renamed to something else and it will work as a seperate copy of the same game, but allow me to edit it with levels and such, keeping my other copy normal>?

    New here

    Hi,

Sorry I'm new at this and I was wondering how do you download the files in this article. Some of them keep asking for a password. Also I have the original Super Mario Brother, how do I create an iso so that I can modify the levels and play them without riivolution and the original disk in the wii?
