Easily create your own Channels with CustomizeMii
Making your own wads is even easier than before thanks to an app called 'CustomizeMii', it is an updated version of Icefire's Wadder and is more stable, has more options and is altogether a much better tool. You are now able to make forwarder channels as well as regular static and animated channels.
Before you install ANY wad you should have some sort of brick protection, Priiloader will do the job just fine but if you can install Bootmii as boot2 then all the better.
Making animated channels is still not easy, but for those of you that wish to learn CustomizeMii is up to the job, but for the sake of this tutorial we'll be making a static image channel....that said, CustomizeMii has some built-in animated channels that you can add your own .dol and sound to if you wish.
Wads created in CustomizeMii are not made from scratch and always need a base wad. The principle is simple, you take a base wad and then CustomizeMii allows you to change the graphics, sound and the .dol, so you can either edit a wad by just changing the graphics, update by just changing the .dol or create a new one by changing everything.
The general idea of this tutorial is to just get you started with CustomizeMii, I'll only go over the basics to familiarize you with the app, after that it's down to your creativity and how much you want to learn. Make sure you read the 'readme' and 'instructions' txt files as they contain a lot of useful info.
Download CustomizeMii 3.11 and tutorial files
1: Put all the files you need for your new channel in one folder and put that folder onto your desktop, the folder should contain:
banner.png
icon.png
logo.png
Neogamma RC3.dol
QUIT.wad
sound.mp3
2: Run CustomizeMii and it will load and display the 'source' tab, click the 'browse' button and select the wad you are going to use as a base, for this tutorial we are going to use the 'quit' .wad as a base, so browse to it and select it.

Note: The middle part of the screen (in the red box) is used for selecting pre-made wads that you just have to add a .dol to, you simply select the wad you want to use then click 'load' and the required wad will be downloaded off the net, you can still change any part of these wads in the other screens, ie a different sound or icon can be used.
Under that section (in the green box) is a drop down menu where you can select to use another banner, icon or sound file, either on its own or from a different wad.
3: Click the 'Title' tab and type in the 'All languages' box 'Neogamma Channel', you can then click where it says 'Translate Channel' and it will fill in all the other language boxes for you.... Neat eh?!

4: Next click the 'Options' tab, there are a few things you can do on this tab, first we will give the wad a new title id, this is how the wii recognizes the channel so it has to be a unique name, type 'NGBL' in the 'Title ID' box.

5: Now we have to select the .dol of the application we want to make into a channel, click 'Browse' next to the 'New DOL' box and a second box will pop up asking if you want to use the one from the source wad or to load a new one, we are loading a new dol so click 'Load DOL file' and browse to the Neogamma RC3.dol.

Note: The 'Forwarder' button, this will create a forwarding .dol, all you have to do is tell it where to point to, ie The name of the folder on your sd card that contains the boot.dol you want it to load. This is a great addition to the app and makes making forwarding channels dead simple.
6: The NAND loader should be changed to 'Waninkoko' from 'Comex' using the drop-down box, then we will change the new sound from mp3 to BNS, click 'Browse' next to the 'New Sound' box and then select 'Convert to BNS', select 'Browse' again on the new window that pops up then select 'sound.mp3' and hit 'Convert', it will convert it to BNS and add it to the wad.

7: Now all that's left to change is the images, that is the banner and icon/logo. Click the 'Banner' tab, select 'MenuScreen1.tpl' then click replace and browse to your 590x332 banner file, then click the 'Icon' tab, select 'IconImage.tpl, click replace and browse to your 128x96 icon image, do the same for the 'LogoChan.tpl', replacing it with the 112x32 image and you're done.

8: You can now click the big 'Create WAD' button at the bottom of the screen, either leave the name default or add your own and your channel will be created :)
