There are two different routes that you can choose for modding your wii. You can either Hard-mod your wii with mod-chips or you can Soft-mod. We have a in-house trusted supplier for mod-chips Here, very trusted site, and great customer service. When and if you going to hard-mod your wii there is a great section here on the forum. Mod-Chip Section
    ---
On the Flip-Side you can soft-mod you wii using only a SD Card... The guides that are here have been tried and tested and do work... DON'T FOLLOW FAIL-TUBE VIDS.... The first step that you need to do is find out what system menu version your wii is. After you find out that piece of information there are two guides that you can use.
If you are on 3.1-4.1 system menu you can use the guide by dogeggs: [[Guide]]
If you are on the 4.2 system menu the you can use the guide by Shadowsonic2: [[Guide]]
    ---
Along the journey of modding your wii you might run into errors when trying to mod the software or install software on your wii. Members have created a list for this and can be accessed here: Wiihacks Error Index, most if not all of the errors are in there and how to fix them. If there is a certain guide that you are looking for or dont know if there is one yet well look no further: Wiihacks Guide Index (by username)

I followed these instructions carefully but when I install any of the WADs made by Loadstructor my channel menu quits working. The music for the channel screen plays for about half a second and the channels start fading in for that split second and then the screen just turns black and the system hangs.

I can play the games fine with USB Loader GX. I have WAD manager v19 and my Wii is 4.1u. Anybody seen this?

For those who are curious and ambitious to test I highly recommend you have priiloader installed first. I have verified and tested with some PAL games (I have an NTSC wii) that if you select FORCE NTSC in the drop down for video mode the wad will be created properly. Also, if you look under the drop down where it is say's cIOS, you can drop down and select 223 for those pesky games that require it. See the first screen shot on the first page of this thread.

As always YMMV and you are on your own as far as testing goes. If you do not have experience uninstalling wads via priiloader than I highly recommend you stay away from this entire procedure. I have personally tested these two options and they work fine.

I have made channels and have had successful ones and other that have frozen the wii menu -
I just un installed via wad manager - the thing is I did 5 differnt games off my hdd at one time so not sure if this was the issue or not. Some were ok and some were not.
