Few questions. Will I be able to then select a channel to play each different game or have it auto load (priiloader I think) to Wiiflow? I was hopping to use just the hard drive, but no big deal. I will double check the power settings on the drive, I though I shut the sleep off.

    Thanks again
wiiflow will be the same, its just that you will be storing the wiiflow app and covers etc... on ur SD card and all your games on the USB...

How do you normally start wiiflow? through Homebrew channel or do u have a channel installed? both ways will still work, I wouldnt use priiloader to autoboot to wiiflow as its prone to freezing that way (well from my experiance at trying it that way)

So many pages, so much information, the majority of it is useful, but because there are many different ways of doing things I am beginning to get in a muddle.

I have a wii which is soft modded on 4.2E.

I have recently bought a 1tb hdd, now I'm wanting to partition this so that i can use it as an "SD card".

So what i'd need to do is partition the hdd so that I had say 2GB Fat32 ("SD Card" partition), the remainder as NTFS for wii flow?

The "SD Card" can then have HBC folders necessary, straight n the root? K:\apps K:\wads

If using this partition method can I use a forwarder and run games off another partition?

sorry I'm so, nooby its embarrassing lol

eurgh my head is going implode!

Im pretty new to wii hacking myself and i tried several times with 2 different drives to get all my apps on my usb drive and not have the need for an SD card but without much success, if i were you id just get a 2gb SD card and use it for all your apps and only have your games on the USB its not worth the hassle (well thats my opinion anyway) unless you really need more space for emulated nand (triforce/mighty channels etc...)

The wii is no longer mine, but my brother's/nephew's and knowing my nephew he'd more than likely just pull the SD card out and its lost forever lol, so if I could get it on to a partition it would be great, I know it needs to be FAT32 for HBC, but do I set it as a primary partition...

In Win 7, I searched from the control panel for administrative tools, clicked on that, clicked on computer management in that window, then look for storage and under that is disk management.

I found this in a guide some where, I think it was here at WiiHAcks.com. I have read so much in the last few weeks.

    good luck.

*keep wiiflow on ur sd card and only have the games on usb HDD

*download seagate manager (google is ur friend), install it on your pc and use it to disable the power saving features on your drive (i have a seagate expansion desktop drive 2tb and i had to do this)

    * try defragging your drive as well (i use Auslogics Disk Defrag **free**)

    * also delete these files sd:/wiiflow/settings/ all files in here and also sd:/apps/wiiflow/setting.ini ...after doing this and restarting wiiflow you will have to select your drive partition again then restart wiiflow again....

then try again (i recently swapped from using a 500gb fat32 drive to a new 2tb NTFS drive) after doing all i mentioned above wiiflow 2.2 r304 (249) works great with my new drive
    I got disk_set USB Failed.

I am going to go back to the other Wii Flow 2.1

After playing 1 game and going back to Wii menu, when I loaded Wii Flow back up I got the plug in your drive message again.

For those of you having drive issues, there is the possibility of a setup issue than a Wiiflow-specific issue. I would have you look over (and follow) the following threads if you have not already:

    FAT32:http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...g-playing.html
    NTFS: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...g-playing.html

hi, i'm have some sort of problem... when i start wiiflow after a few seconds of "Please Wait..." i get a screen that says " Welcome to Wiiflow. I have not found any games. Click install to install games, or select partition to select your partition type." after selecting partition it goes to the settings where the game partition shows me WBFS-,WBFS0,WBFS1... and so on but i have my HDD formatted with fat32. i use mauifrog's tutorial 2-3 weeks ago so i'm guessing all files are up to date and everything works fine on Configurable USB Loader but i just wanted to se how wiiflow was. what can i do to fix this?

If it's says "Please Wait..." you might be using an older revision of Wiiflow that did not support FAT32. Try downloading the latest revision (link on front page) v304, wipe all Wiiflow-related folders/files from your card or drive, then add the new revision. Then try again.
