    wiiflow 2.2

    Hello, I updated my wiiflow from 1.1 to 2.2 but its super slow. Seems like its frozen but it takes about 30seconds to a minute to load a game. Some of my covers show "loading" they load after about 30seconds but when i click on one it freezes for another 30 seconds.

    Anyone have this issue? Did a few more research and found out that this problem should not exist on the wiiflow 2.2 but I do since there are 1/7 pages on the settings and 1/5 pages on game settings, whereas before wiiflow settings have 1/6 pages and 1/3 pages on games settings.

    I hope i didn't confuse anyone lol.

    Make sure you've got all your files inside the WBFS folder on the root directory of your drive. (usb:\wbfs\>games go here<)

    No there isn't to my knowledge, but all you have to do is make sure the files your forwarder is looking for aren't on the SD card. The forwarder will automatically look for Wiiflow on your USB drive if it does not find them.

    The 7 & 5 page settings are correct as a few more options have been added as new versions have been released.

    Might try a few things in this order (if one doesn't work move onto the next):

    • Delete wiiflow.ini and sd:\wiiflow\cache
    • Reinstall your cIOS
    • If using a 249 version of Wiiflow try switching to a 222 version, making sure you've installed Hermes cIOS (222/223/224)
    • Making sure your partition is set to Primary and Active
    • If running a WBFS formatted drive try reformatting to FAT32 and try again (newer versions of Wiiflow don't work that great with WBFS anymore in my experience)

    Thanks for the reply Ithian. It worked... i deleted the wiiflow.ini and cache folder (sd:\wiiflow\cache), it wasn't lagging as much as before now its 7seconds after selecting a game and the "loading" meant they were being loaded hehe i wasn't patient enough. I left the console on wiiflow for about 20 minutes (i have 144 games) so when i got back all the cvvers were loaded and it wasn't lagging anymore.

    Yeah it can take a few minutes to re-populate the covers when the cache gets wiped but will go fast from now on (until you have to do it again ). Glad you got it working.

    ok for some people having problems on getting wifflow to work, not seeing their usb

    go to your sd or usb, wherever you have your apps folder and go to :/apps/wifflow/ and edit wiiflow.ini with wordpad. right click on wiiflow.ini, choose open with wordpad.
    there go and find line that says data_on_usb= , it maybe be set to no, change it to yes manually, so it reads, data_on_usb=yes
    after that line you might have these:

    dir_altdol=sd:/wiiflow/codes/alt_dols
    dir_bca=sd:/wiiflow/codes/bca
    dir_box_covers=sd:/wiiflow/boxcovers
    dir_cache=sd:/wiiflow/cache
    dir_cheat=sd:/wiiflow/codes/gct
    dir_fanart=sd:/wiiflow/fanart
    dir_flat_covers=sd:/wiiflow/covers
    dir_languages=sd:/wiiflow/languages
    dir_music=sd:/wiiflow/music
    dir_screenshot=sd:/wiiflow/screenshots
    dir_settings=sd:/wiiflow/settings
    dir_themes=sd:/wiiflow/themes
    dir_trailers=sd:/wiiflow/trailers
    dir_txtcheat=sd:/wiiflow/codes
    dir_wdm=sd:/wiiflow/codes/wdm
    dir_wip=sd:/wiiflow/codes/wip

    edit them all to have usb, so you get this:

    dir_altdol=usb:/wiiflow/codes/alt_dols
    dir_bca=usb:/wiiflow/codes/bca
    dir_box_covers=usb:/wiiflow/boxcovers
    dir_cache=usb:/wiiflow/cache
    dir_cheat=usb:/wiiflow/codes/gct
    dir_fanart=usb:/wiiflow/fanart
    dir_flat_covers=usb:/wiiflow/covers
    dir_languages=usb:/wiiflow/languages
    dir_music=usb:/wiiflow/music
    dir_screenshot=usb:/wiiflow/screenshots
    dir_settings=usb:/wiiflow/settings
    dir_themes=usb:/wiiflow/themes
    dir_trailers=usb:/wiiflow/trailers
    dir_txtcheat=usb:/wiiflow/codes
    dir_wdm=usb:/wiiflow/codes/wdm
    dir_wip=usb:/wiiflow/codes/wip

    Question

    I currently use a WBFS drive. I had the old version of wiiflow.

    When I change my HDD drive to FAT32, I put the games on the drive in the form of .iso files?

    Also, Will the games displayed on wiiflow still have the names like "SJE01"? Because that's how all of my gamecover names are stored.

    You can store them as .iso files or .wbfs. .wbfs will compress them same as a WBFS partition, so you save just as much space. Use Wii Backup Manager to convert them. Make sure they sit in a /wbfs\ folder at the root of your drive. Your games will still be accessed by gameid.

    Make sure you're using a later version of Wiiflow as older versions did not support FAT32.
