    A couple questions

First of all thanks for this thread.

Q#1. I have and sd card that is dedicated to my wii and pretty much always in the unit! (I use it for my emulators and roms) I feel more comfortable adding wii flow to the SD card because I have softmodded my wii that way and have never added anything to my hdd. Which way is the best wiiflow installed through SD or HDD? I have partitioned my drive part 100g fat32 and 680g WBFS. The WBFS partition is primary and active. Could somebody maybe provide a link or information on how to install all my my files from the sd card that I used to do the softmod from hdd. Or does that not make any sense to do since the SD card is in the wii all the time.

Q#2. I have heard people say that it is best to to have both files from this game. ios249 & ios222. Are they talking about the .wad file or the files in the apps folders that need to be renamed to just wiiflow. How do I install both?

Thanks again for your help, this thread is the best I have found.

Click the Tutorials button at the top of the page and navigate to one of the 4.2 softmod tutorials. Finish that process then you may return here and follow the instructions in the original post to install Wiiflow.

    1. Either way will work just fine. if you feel more comfortable using your SD card then use it. Neither method is any better than the other, it just comes down to preference. If you want to use the FAT partition to load your homebrew content it's just a matter of creating the exact same file structure. In other words just copy and paste the stuff in your SD card to the USB drive. But don't try to use both, don't put some files on the FAT drive and some on the SD card. Just pick one and stick with it.

Note - Certain applications might require you to specify that you're using a FAT partition. For instance, in HBC you need to press 1 and select that you're loading your apps from a USB drive before they will be detected.

For what it's worth, I load everything from SD card without any issues.

    2. They're talking about the files in the apps folders. Your forwarder (the channel in the System menu you installed with Wad Manager) looks for the \apps\wiiflow\ folder. This means it can only look for 1 version of the application at a time, so you'll have to choose which one you want that to be.

Basically I left both versions (222 and 249) in the download as an option for sticklers who really wanted to have both. I only use the 249 version and haven't had any problems loading any games, ever. You can change the IOS to 222/223 in Wiiflow's Settings menu as well if they refuse to run under 249. On the other side of the fence, some people prefer to use the 222 version and manually switch individual games to 249. Either way should work fine for you.

If you need more info on IOS', what they are, and what they do then check out the link in my signature below. Also check out the attached articles as they all contain relevant info.
    =======================
    Edit:
I go to download and they do but I have noticed that the file it creates is very small .5 gigs. Then when I try and play a game that I backed up from disc through the wiiflow channel it stops shortly after it starts. and gives me an error saying to eject the disc and power off the console. Is there a way to copy a working backup from disc through wiiflow or do i have to do it on the computer than transfer it to the hdd that i am using? Thanks for you r time.
It looks like you've already got a valid suggestion in the other thread you posted this question in. If the game in question is in fact NSMB then follow the guide in the Games section to get it running.

To dump a game from disc to HDD in Wiiflow take a look at the settings options in the first post of this thread.

    Cool HI again

Ok, so I figured it out. I just installed hermies cios installer222 and got both ios. I ended up just using my sd card to install wiiflow and it seems to work fine that way. However, I have another question. I have been backing up my games through wiiflow. Thanks for you r time.

    files in download?

Probably a dumb question but why are there 2 copies of almost every file in the .rar download. For example, there is a titles.ini (52,503kb) and a ._titles.ini (4,096kb). Do I need all the duplicates that are a much smaller size? Great program. I have it working fine but I was just curious so if I install on friends wii's, I can keep their SD card clean. Thanks

That's just a winRAR compression-type thing. When you extract the package those files won't be present and everything will be placed in specific folders. Click View Style to see how it will look.

I can't seem to be able to download any covers?
By 'downloading' it does not mean from the internet does it? are the covers already in the file on the sdcard? im not on wi-fi so i will have to manually dowload them i guess.

Correct, if your Wii is not internet-enabled you'll need to download your covers manually. Most can be found @ wiitdb.com

    Thanks for the reply Ithian.
I know the wii is a great little machine but i thought it was impossible for it to be able to download every cover just through wiiflow.
I will look at the site you mentioned, cheers mate
