Check your version in the main menu by clicking the ? button. If there is no "R##" then you're using the original v1.1 which didn't have ocarina support.

The boot.dol file in \wiiflow won't be accessed by a forwarder channel if you have another one in \apps\wiiflow. Check there first. Otherwise you probably installed a full channel, which has the application built-in.

Thanks Ithian! Have checked. The wiiflow version does not have any R## to it thus should be the original v1.1

There was no \apps\wiiflow folder in the HDD. I think it is the full channel that was installed as I can wiiflow without any boot.dol files.

How would it be to go about updating to R25 if the full channel is installed? I do not have a HBC. Have tried installing it but it failed (installer does not work as no vulnerabilities- tried using the guides in wiihacks.com but to no avail). Tried using wad manager as well but apparently it does not work also (both in installing the R25 wads that Bamboo 77 has so nicely shared and in replacing some ios files so as to install HBC) have some error ret -1 message. Think it might be some incompatibility problems of the wad manager with my wii.

Sorry understand that it might not be relevant to post HBC stuff in this thrend. But would just like to share the things that I have attempted in order to upgrade my wiiflow to at least R25.

Thanks so much for your assistance!

You are going to want to get HBC on there if you really want to take advantage of Wiiflow. I'll try to point you in the right direction. What firmware are you on? (Options -> Settings -> top right-hand corner)

That's cIOSCORP and the cause of your HBC installation issues. From what I'm seeing so far, the person you bought it from had no clue what they were doing. Let's try to fix that.

Since you have access to DOP-Mii I want you to do this for me right now: Load up DOP-Mii and select IOS249 to load from.

    Select IOS, BC, MIOS

Navigate left to IOS36 and install v3351 with no patches.

Navigate right and install IOS61 v5405 also with no patches (if it asks).

Download the pack from and try to reinstall your HBC following only steps 1 - 3 of this guide (no further): http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

After you've completed these steps you should have a working HBC, and re-patched IOS36. You'll also still have a butchered cIOSCORP on your console, which we need to get rid of (for now, if you want you can always put it back on later, but I don't recommend it).

Once these steps are completed, go here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...i-console.html

From this point forward read through very carefully and make any further posts in that thread until we get you sorted out.

Edit: Also, what ever you do, right now it is absolutely imperative you DO NOT let your system update to 4.2. The IOS70 installed on there right now would cause it to brick 003, and you don't want that kind of trouble. So just make sure it doesn't update.

hey Ithian. You are truly a great help!

Anyways, I have done the part till installing of IOS 61 v 5405 and am proceeding with the guide in steps 1-3. However, at the download link in that thrend, i am unable to download the Wii_Softmod_030310.rar file. Is there any where else i can download from such as mediafire.com which I have been able to download from?

Once again, really appreciate all these in helping a noob like me.

Hey Ithian thanx so much for the link. Managed to follow the guide but the installer was not able to continue as there was no vulnerable IOS found thus still am stuck in step 1. Would there be any workarounds ? thanx for advice again!

Alrighty, that was the easy way. Now we'll go the slightly less easier way. Try this: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...lling-hbc.html

Assuming HBC installs in Step 4, skip step 5 and do Other Options TBR.

    Then head here: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...i-console.html

Thanx will get to it. Have tried using mauifrog's guide the previous time till TBR but to no avail. Will try it again given that now I have IOS36 (v3351) and IOS61 (v5405) with everything disabled (no patches). Will let you know again! thanx!
