Thanks for your help Jbloggs but unforyunitly I have infact downloaded the latest software this morning I think. If this is the case does that mean that I will not be able to get the homebrew chanel.
By the way can you send me a link to see what the homebrew chanel is all about because I am not too sure as I am a newbie to wii modchip.
thanks for your help.

I just read a thread that a new Homebrew channel version was release (Beta 9) that will work (for the most part) with the new update. Check out the following threads, first being the Hombrew channel guide and the second about the Beta 9 version

Upfront, Im sorry, this will be a Noob question as today is the first day of owning my CHipped Wii

I have been reading about installing the HBC on my Wii, I have v3.3u re firmware and was planning to run the install via disk...but the HBC web site indicates it will not work with versions after 3.2.

If i am reading correctly, to downgrade your firmware to 3.2, you need the HBC, but i cant use the disk to install it...

How do i get around this? DO I have to follow the Zelda Twilight hack?

Sorry again , my head hurts..in a good way!

Any help or guidance would be appreciated!

Ca new 2 Noob to Wii mod'ing

We have a Japanese version of the Wii

It plays copies already but I habe no idea what chip or mod has been used.

How do I determine what has been done?
I will be getting the firmaware updated so I will have English menus which will make things easier !!

Anyother "first step" help will be greatly appreciated...
