Have you tracked the package? My chip took 4 days to get out of Canada. Its only been about 8 days so I'm not worried...yet.

At the bottom of your invoice you should see the website to track and your tracking number.

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forums and actually new to modding though I'm pretty computer savvy. Ok so I'm trying to softmod my 4.0U Wii and I have all the necessary files. I've loaded LoadMii and tried to install the first part - DowngraderIOS35.dol

the only problem is I didn't have my network enabled when I went to do this so it couldn't download any of the patches needed. Now when I try to do it with my network on it says "error cannot proceed (Make sure you didn't do this step already)"

So now I'm stuck and don't know what to do short of formatting my Wii (which I'm trying to avoid cuz I've got alotta money in VC games on there.

Any help on how I should proceed with the mod?

I'd second that question. I'm confused how to do that too.

Also, you know how there are precautions to take, like turning off the network before starting the modding process? Well, what other precautions are there that should be taken before, during, and after the modding is done?

After all that I went ahead as instructed to do so installing the various os's and it went fine. I guess having the network off in the first place was the proper thing to do. It downloads the patches and stuff later. If you need a full step by step let me know.

i was real careful in letting everything complete before touching anything. I heard some stories of bricking so I wanted to keep the directions to a T. After that initial part of having the network off and running downgrader, enable your network after (its ok u need it for the patches) and run the next steps word for word. I clenched my butt cheeks and crossed my fingers during the entire install process too. Could be coincidence...but I think it helped.

Okay that makes sense. Wait, what about the downgrading? When is that ever necessary?

well if you're using the same softmod as me, the first thing you did with the network disabled was run downgraderios35 and it ran and stopped cuz u weren't connected to the network. then running it again it says its already done, so then continue as normal with installing the other ios'
