Unzip it and run EvID4226Patch.exe
A Command Prompt Window should pop-up looking like this:
Press Y on your keyboard to continue.
It may now ask you if you want the TCPIP.SYS file to be renamed until patching. Selecting No (N) will abort the process while Yes (Y) will start the process:
You should now have recieved a message saying that the TCPIP.sys got changed and it will recheck the file in 15 seconds:
A pop-up like this should now appear:
Press cancel.
Another window should now appear:
Press Yes.
Now in the command prompt, it is recommended to reboot now and press any key to exit. Press any key on your keyboard and reboot:
Next open your torrenting client and locate the advanced preferences. In uTorrent it would be:
options>preferences>advanced. Once in the advanced section scroll down to "net.max_halfopen" the default value is 8. Change it to the value to match the one of the changed number of half open connection
Go to Run and type eventvwr.msc and click Ok. Select filters and in Event ID type 4226. If there are anymore errors, you can increase the number to 70 or 100 connections. To do this instead of pressing Y on the first screen in the EvID4226Patch.exe and type the number of max connections.
After you reboot you should have faster speeds. This worked for me.
