I think ill leave it for now , ive had a go and it doesnt work for me at the minute or i should say i cannot get it to work . Ill leave it until there is a manual way to install the dlc i would like rather than spend more time getting the same result lol.
Does anyone know if this will work with 4.2u? My Wii is hard-modded by the way. If things are different for 4.2u, I'd really appreciate it if someone can walk me through this.

So I have just soft-moded my Wii 2 days ago and tryied this hack. It works great have all the Queen songs the older songs are hit and miss. I trieid reinstalling but no luck.
I am running a NTSC 4.0 menu.
This works flawless for me. I have Wii 3.2U on cIOS Rev14. I installed the 37 patch and the 3 .wad files. The first .wad installed and the other two showed errors. But all the DLC now shows purchased and I have been able to successfully download them to SD! THANK YOU!!!!
I'm running 3.2U, I applied the RawkSD Patcher so I could install the DLC wads but now it turns out that it doesn't read my RockBand 2 disc.
I'm using the disc channel to boot it up. It initially booted up to an error msg telling me to reset my wii. I then uninstalled the RawkSD Patch and now all I get is a black screen after I load it up.
This only seems to affect my RB2 backup b/c all my other backups seem to work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yeahh I got that too... I simply fixed it by getting a backup launcher,

Follow the instructions, and this will let you load the game with the USB instruments. Or you can just get Neogamma r7, but the USB instruments might not work. You can download it here.

I actually installed cIOScorp v3.4 and it took care of everyrthing
The only downside to this is that its incompatible with Rawk SD.
I'm having another issue though, I tried installing the some of the 0 points songs from the music store but it says that I have insufficient wii points? Weird when they require no points to begin with?
I read that this was a common issue with a PAL wii and NTSC RB2 disc but thats not the case with me as I have both an NTSC RB2 and wii. :S
Hi, great app! Much appreciated. I prefer to download the songs from the nintendo servers with my PC and use the DLC Manager to transfer them to my SD card whenever I feel like playing them. Is there a "list.txt" file for gen 3 that I can use? Thanks again!!

Were you able to ever get this working? I use a USB loader and via rawksd i just re-encode the DLC accordingly, but i cant download it via the patch due to not having the CD, so is it possible to download via a PC?
I've been unsuccessful at installing these patches.
When I run the wad installer program it gives me some output about not being able to read the file after remounting the SD card.
I also tried wad manager 1.5 and I get error -1022. This seems to indicate either a problem with the wad files or the out of memory. I've got plenty of free blocks.
