After doing the Softmod ANY Wii Guide it tells me it's recommended to install system menu 4.1

Because ModMii looks like a nice tool I installed it on my PC.
If I read your guide it says it's recommended to stick with System menu 4.3

Hmmm, why do I read different stuff about the system menu?
Can you shed some light on this? I'm curious about the pros and cons.

If I want to re-hack when needed is it OK to do with your tool?
    Guess it's not needed currently.

4.1 allows region free disc loading (if your drive is capable). It also allows use of bannerbomb (vs. letterbomb or wilbrand) to launch the hackmii installer. Honestly, its up to you which SM you want to use. 4.2 and 4.3 didnt add any features, they simply killed off some elements of homebrew. Up to you how you want to do it though. ModMii is a great tool. So is the ANY Wii guide. Two different ways to do essentially the same thing.

Thx, that is a pro, to make it region free.
However ModMii tells me SM 4.3 is recommended.

There must be a reason for that.
Out of interest and better understanding I would like to know why.

    Maybe XFlak can chime in?

well, modmii recommends to stick with your system menu because downgrading SM always having a high chance of bricking wii and that is right and you will need to stick with 4.3u because the latest version of hackmii installer prevents itself from being deleted by system menu 4.3 and 4.2

ModMii issue - ERROR need help!

Hello - NEED help. I was using ModMII on my Wii 4.2U and all was working perfectly. I got to the wad install portion and that seemed to be going find. However, it got hung up installing the Opera Internet channel and never finished. I waited for 30 minutes and still nothing, so I shut off the Wii and figured I would retry to install. No big deal right? Nope, when I turn the wii on, it just gives a blanks screen and nothing?? Where do I restart this process. I did back my nand up so were good there.

Please help so I can get this up and running again???

    Thanks!

Update! I used bootmi to add nand back in so I restarted the process. Same result. When it get's to finishing the Opera update it says finishing but doesn't it worked perfect prior with the other 43 updates? What to do?
