My copy of Tatsunoko vs Capcom hangs on a strange screen when I boot it up on my wii on version 3.4U. Anybody know anything about how to get around this?

Is it possible to have wii always boot in region free mode with Gecko?

Its not that i play alot of other region games, just wanted to know.

I loaded my Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou with this program and I see those strange symbols in some areas of the game. From some other users, I do not have the Japanese Language in the Wii. I tried these methods here and answers from others but I still get those strange symbols.

Thankfully I can play the game, but it's annoying to see those symbols everytime.

Help please? Thanks.

i am getting a NO DVD error after following the tutorial
i am able to play the game thru gamma loader but it comes black n white and pics not clear -
when i load gecko 1.07b it keep saying NO DVD - but i know my dvdworks in gamma loader
any i dea whats going on ?

i changed the pal50 = YES

region free = YES

firmware - 3.2u
HBC/GAMMA/STARFALL

I followed the instructions but I'm not sure if it is normal for my Wii to loose connection from the tv. The LED on the Wii is still green, the Wii remote turns off and will not turn back on. I can eject my game and then I have to hold the power button for about 6 seconds. Was changing the settings suppossed to fix this??

I had this problem, search for cioscorp (or something like that PM me about) and I will guide you through the rest.

I have a problem, whenever I set my backup ntsc brawl to pal50 forced on the latest geckoOS but some of the screen is cut off, yet I get a black screen error on pal60 forced, any ideas?

Hi..i loading indiana jones ntsc-u on ntsc-j..i brickblock and remove update etc...when i load the game there's a green screen...i use that option as show here...region free and reboot but my wii reboot from start...i.e i get the home menu and when i go to the hbc channel no change...what i'm doing wrong?

Boot Lang:
specific language on the disc. Here are some combination examples ...

Japanese System + US game = Force PAL60, "No" - Neither the console or disc are in PAL format to begin with. They're both NTSC.

Force NTSC:
This is for the PAL system to NTSC game.

PAL System + Japanese game = Force NTSC, "Yes"
PAL SYstem + US game = Force NTSC, "Yes"

PAL System + German game = Force NTSC, "No". Nether the console or disc are in the NTSC format to begin with. They're both PAL.

Force PAL50:

VIDTV Patch:

Ocarina On:
Leave this at "Yes". It has nothing to do with game booting. Ocarina is the game cheat engine now integrated into Gecko OS.

Make your changes and "Return To Menu" ...

(no need to copy what I did here. I'm on an NTSC machine, attempting to boot a PAL title)

"Launch Game"

Some pre-loading text will now appear. There's noting to do, it's display only.

And away we go!

Notes:
When exiting your newly launched, out-of-region title, your system will not return to the Wii operating system / dashboard. You will need to power down.

Again, do not update your console with an out of region update. This will brick your system. There are many ways to bypass disc updates, none of which will be discussed in this thread.
