on the classic DS you can use any flash cart that has the right size, Slot-1 carts (M3 Simply, R4, etc..) work flawless on both classic and lite DS..

Slot-2 devices are the one you should be careful of.. because there are some that were specially designed for the Lite's GBA Port, which is smaller than the Classic's.. like the "M3 Lite" or "M3 Lite Perfect"..

But if you get a Slot-1 device you shouldn't have any problem, and it's better because of the clean dump play, and drag&drop, no patching, etc, etc...

newest game cartridge is m3 DS Real, support better than m3 simply and R4, and has SDHC support for microSD cards (duh)

i own a DS(not hacked since my neighborhood is "bad")

m3 ds real works well but some of the newer roms need the arm7.bin file replacing to work

I removed a cartridge while in pictochat and all I got were 2 purple screens. What are you saying is supposed to happen?

Everyone seems to be out of the R4s. Does anyone know where they're available?

the r4 does not have alot of the extra features some of the better ones do and has bad homebrew compatibility. at one point in time it was the best out there hands down from what i gather but it does not seem to be the case now

the CycloDS Evolution seems to be the best for home brew if that is what you what they seem to support it best, look in there fourms.

it seems all the best cards need sd micro cards some of them needs good ones class 6 150x so keep that in mind
a ds game can really range in size from 5 mb all the way up to 200 mb most seem to be around 80 but i olny have like 40 to judge from
