ok so i picked up a game cube for pretty cheap. (long story) Anyway, the reset button and open button are permantly jammed down which causes the door to be open. i think to myself "no problem i'll just throw a book on there and fix it when i get the tool to open it" however after trying this it appears that the gamecube wont read the disc. Does this mean the eye is shot? or is it the loading mechanism itself. What do you guys think?
it may be the eye on the laser. if you open up the cube you can adjust the pot for the laser but make sure you use a multimeter to make sure you don't over do it
Yeah i took the gamecube apart, to clean out all the dust and stuff, and got a good look at the eye. What is the "pot" for the laser? Maybe i can play around with that some.
i strongly suggest that you get some info on adjusting the pot on the laser because you could mess up the gamecube laser (whichy is what may be wrong with it in the first place.) google on how to mod the gamecube and you should find what you are looking for.
