Had a read through it and this is what i could spot.......

Remove gc cards etc should be just at begining in red(dont plug in until you finish with the guide)

Moo/Meow-while the idea is good to make them read it will be confusing and they will miss it completley ....

Ios36 - Everybody should just install ios36 v1 (patched withh mmm) while at this step also clean ios60...followed by the next step which will only be sys menu this not causing any mistakes

I will test tomorrow until step 3 on a 4.3E(bbootmii as ios ) and make a video of it in case it can be helpful.....since i planned to do it for the softmod guide anyway

Cile covered pretty much all my suggestions, haha. Other then consider making less packs and have all the files downloaded at the same time or in as few downloads as possible. Also maybe add bullets listing the steps or numbers or something (within each spoiler) so it's easier to read and follow without getting lost in the text...if you know what I mean.
    Damn I suck!!!!

OK, I officially lost. Sorry for promising a guide, Krank and Cile, but this wasn't the time to write one (even though I was halfway there). Even if I finish it, I would have a hard time supporting it. As you may have noticed, I'm not online very much lately. I'm just too busy.

I will sure take a look through your guide, LiNkZoR.

Who gives up on a guide when they're half way finished with it? J/K I know it's a lot of work but man you invested the time to get as far as you did and now you're giving up? I don't think there's really any kind of time limit on this. Just submit your guide when you get a chance to finish it up. There's plenty of us here who can help support it so no worries there.

No pressure... If you can't, you can't but it would be nice to see some friendly competition here.

Maybe I can write up the last part later on. You've motivated me a little bit to continue, haha.
But really, if I have the time, I will see what I can do. We're getting closer and closer to the exams, so it's a busy period.

    EDIT:
OK, I made up my mind, and how about it if I submit my guide somewhere next week or so? I'll sacrifice some of my friend time. But if his is already online by then, there wouldn't really be any point in submitting mine, would it?

I'm going to change that when other people besides me test it. I tired using that so they would have to read through the guide to find out what it means.

I thought about making it so that they all install that, but I asked us3rname about it and he said it would be best to not make it r1 as it could make them fell not like a virgin at the end and it would also require a update, and it could not be optional. As for the seperate SM and IOS install in different steps, great idea it will make this a little more noob-proof.

I'll try this later, but if you place all of the packs in the same folder a noob will probably figure some way to do this backwards. Also the less packs, i currently have no way to upload but I will try whenever i can.

I know what you mean as getting lost in a wall of text is fairly easy, this is quite easy to do on my part, i just never thought of it.

Now ive got to go remove a joke in my guide. HINT:Cile said it earlier.

I have one question regarding my guide, i link to a darkcorp removal guide. Will this remove darkcorp or not? it does patch a lot of IOS and I was going to try to remove darkcorp with this guide but i could only find the darkcorp 1.1 lite guide.

This is not optional and it must be included as a step. It will not overwrite IOS with a higher revision unless you have a version patched IOS (IOS36 or 236 installed and patched with MMMv13.4) loaded when installing the vanilla IOS. Even if the revision is set to 1 (which it does not need to be) it will be overwritten when the vanilla IOS are installed. So no update is required and the IOS36 rev 1 will be gone at the end of the guide.

I would just have a step right at the end (before removing HBC) where you load MMM and load IOS36 patched, install the clean IOS36 then all IOS are back to normal. Or you could find a way to incorporate the overwriting of IOS36 patched in the batch install.

I did, it is renamed so it will overwrite lastly in the process. Look in the IOS pack for "TIOS36-64-v3608.wad" and since MMM knows its ABC's it is last to be overwritten.

Perfect, but you still need to have everyone install the IOS36 patched in the first place. Should be one of the first steps.
