Well, it had to happen. My opinion is that it was the release of all the 'backup loaders' that forced Nintendo's hand and I'm sure we haven't seen it all yet.

mod chips are 1 thing, since many people dont want to pay, and deal with them, esp when for free i can get firmware to do it and programs
im sure they came up with this the moment more loaders existed, i dont find the fact that Gamma (which i guess works REALLY well) and the other ones, + the menu patcher, so you can just load it from the disc channel, and then a week or so we get this yeah no way the 2 are unrelated

nintendo doesnt really have a report system like XBL does, so unless nintendo does 1 of 3 things it aint gonna happen
1 wipe the highest scores legit or not (not gonna happen)
2 wipe people with INSANE win to loss averages like 50:1 or better if even a loss (not gonna happen)
3 wipe every score (not gonna happen)
so yeah... nothings gonna happen there for any wifi game

I got the update message on my Wii this morning (UK). I'm not gonna do it though.
I have heard you can block it with your router, all you need to do is put the update site into the router's block list.
Dunno what the page url is though.

I just saw the wii flashing light blue and saw the message.....scared the shit out of me!
I think if an update is out we should all get an email sent from wii hacks right?
