I've been reading the 50s to 60s pages - I had HBC 1.0.4 with firmware 4.01E... following the supreme geek logic "if it ain't broken, i'll fix it until it is", I upgraded with the Waninkoko Firmware Upgrade tool to 4.02E. Now HBC won't upgrade to 1.0.5, as BootMii doesn't find any vulnerable IOSes due to the massive trucha patching.
Question: installing IOS30-64-v1040.wad is enough for BootMii to use it as unpatched, vulnerable IOS? And if I install it, will it break any compatibility with other installed IOSes?

ios36 should be clean. if you have HBC 1.0.3 use this if it works

BTW, I didn't mention that I do not have any cIOSCORP or preloader.
So, I must assume IOS30 is not that safe - which version of IOS36 should I install? IOS36-64-v1042.wad (first version in NUSD) could be fine (no compatiblity issues)?

Having the same problem as Boyders - accidentally updated, after reading else where that a hard mod shouldn't be affected and i don't really use the HBC.
I'm running a Yaosm 3.2 (I know but i've never had any problems, may upgrade to wiikey fusion when it comes out, providing it'll work with 4.2).
Anyone know how to get my region free working again? My PAL region backups work fine, my NTSC patched games aren't any one able to help?

Good news MOD Chips playing region free after 4.2
Okay so it is only a life support solution, but if you get HBC working again and load the homebrowser you can download the latest version of gecko 1.9.2b (just released). I can now play out of region disks. It may only be a work around but at least it is better than 75% of my catalogue gone.
To recap I have a d2pro on a PAL with 4.2
I followed the recent guides and loaded the new installer v0.5 and HBC. I then installed homebrowser. Today I was advised of an update of gecko 1.9.2 b. The previous version wouldn’t work. Now all of a sudden I have my games loading.
Still hopping for a fw solution from d2pro..But then again who cares.
