Us Nintendo will fix your Wii for free!!

I sent in my friends fully soft modded 4.0u black screen of death wii to Nintendo and just got it back, still on 4.0!! Very quick repair. Fixed it for free! Don't beleive the hype!! The people at Nintendo are nice people. I told them there was a power outage when I was updateing to 4.2!!! Before I sent it to nintendo the wii only showed a black screen with a line going across! There was no boot mii or preloader installed, save frii did show the system menue with modd game cube controller! With no hope left but open her up and install a autoboot modd chip or call Nintendo! I decided to call Nintendo! They will fix your wii for free if it was never opened, warranty or no warranty! If your wii messes up while updateing to the new system menue, HInt hint. there is no charge to fix it! If your wii starts to a black screen or blue screen due to a disk update or any other mishap. Send it back to nitendo to fix. They will even pay the shipping! Just don't tell them its softmodded or anything like that!! I don't think they can see or care to see what you had on there once your system is really messed up! If you have to send it back just be advised, when you get it back it will be brand new, and anything you had on there will be gone! If this helped you or you found this informative please send thanks!!

    So... if:
    1. your wii is so bricked that they can't see you have softmod on it,
    or 2. They're being nice,
Then you may have a chance of fixing it for free/low cost, right?

if they check, then you pay....seems though that they are a bit lazy...lately

if you read up on the forums here...there are a few things you can do to help ensure...no charge

quick question, my wii is bricked. i live in australia. if i send it to nintendo and they do find out its softmodded. would they just repair it anyways or would they ask me first? and if i say no i dont want it fixed, will return without any cost to me. btw my console is still under warranty.

Depends on how well you bricked it. If it's easy to detect like a banner brick then they may charge you, however you still have the choice whether to accept the charge and repair or just have it back unrepaired. If it's a full brick then maybe they won't bother, depends how busy they are.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.
