if you're on rev13a or b, make sure your USB drive is plugged into the correct usb slot in back of your wii...(if the wii is laying flat, it's the bottom slot)....the other one will not recognise the drive. maybe you know this already, just throwing it out there...
but the WD passports should be recognised.....so i'm not sure what's going on other than it not being in the right slot in back of the wii
couple of other things you can try if you haven't already--make sure your drive is formatted FAT/FAT32, sometimes USBloader doesn't see NTFS....and/or i would use AlexDP's WBFS Manager from the PC side of things to put some games on the drive and see if USBloader can find it that way...i install all of my games from WBFS Manager from the PC and that seems to be the best for me

Hmmmm....Punchout worked for me, but i can't remember what i did to get it to work...did you put the 002 error fix on? tell me what is it doing? do you get the controller screen, or is it still just a black screen? do you have Madworld? you might need some ios's like ios55 or something like that
according to gbatemp wiki, it should work...
check game compatibility here: USB Loader v1.x Game Compatibility - WikiTemp
Many thanks Cressida, it was setting 002 fix to anti that fixed my black screen om MY simms racing.

You can't run Gamecube Games from USB Drive, only disc. Unless you get a hardmod called the WODE. Then you can do ISO loading.
