Here is what is really scary to me starting with 3.4.
Nintendo updated their Terms of Service which now reads:

UPDATES AND UPGRADES

We may without notifying you, download updates, patches, upgrades and similar software to your Wii Console and may disable unauthorized or illegal software placed on your Wii Console to ensure that your Wii Console is operating properly and efficiently, comply with applicable laws, assist law enforcement, protect us and our customers, or prevent the use and distribution of software obtained through improper channels.

A if you dont download 3.4 you dont agree to it, you CANT just toss in a new rule or 2, without first informing people, thats why 3.4 says that, and if you dont agree to it, you SHOULDNT be subject to it, in addition i see this as a scare tactic

we wouldnt have these issues if the backup loaders didnt exist, i said that at the start but i guess because people are cheap we all pay the price.... thx

Us 3.4
I have a modchip on the way im 44 years old with 3 kids if i uninstall homebrew which i didnt use anyway because i updated to 3.3u when i bought the wii on the day of the update and didnt know any better couldnt install the shit right so is it gonna hurt if i update to 3.4 it is not gonna effect the modchip is it..i have to have game backups because my kids are hell on the discs if you no what i mean sorry if im rambling im bipolar and manic lots of meds....so is it gonna effect my wiikey thanks

i just got my wii last night and updated to 3.4u before i knew anything about the HBC etc... is there anyway i can get Homebrew on my wii despite having updated? a downgrade maybe?

i guess its fairly fresh, but if anyone finds anything please share! ive been looking all day!

This update is supposed to vastly increase read speeds of SD cards

we cant load anything off them xD
you cant install anything to them
they just hold game saves, and VC/Ware titles till you want to swap them out, and to be fair i could care less how fast either was at that point

Whoa. I did recent IOS patches to be able to install Wads again on the second 3.3 update.... will this brick my Wii since I did those patches?
