Maybe I just missed it but when i unzipped the package through winrar, i didn't see any readme file. where should i need to see it? as for the loading, do i just burn the entire recovery package folder "3.3v3 Update RECOVERY" to a dvd or cd-r and load it to my wii? do i need to havew the modchip installed when i do this?

The read me file should be in the package, along with the Wall-E picture I put all the folders onto a sd card and installed it thru the homebrew channel. I am not sure what to do if your wii does not have modchip.

I had a modchip and removed it because my wii had problem starting games (games load but don't start and then i get the dead black screen) and was going to send it out for repair. i wanted to try one last ditch effort and i saw your post. when i tried to download and unziup thru winrar the folders i got are these:
- apps folder:
1_Wadmanagerv1.3-waninkoko
- boot.dol (file)
2_WadmanagerIOS16_David92
1. intallIOS16 (file)
2. installcIOS249 (file)
3. Downgrade (file)
Did I do this right?

Yes, if you have the homebrew channel installed, this is what i did. if not..its beyond my knowledge as i am new to this also. In addition I have no clue if you dont have have your modchip if this works.. maybe wait for someone else to respond with more information.
copy the apps and wad folder into the root of the sd card 2gb or less. Then put it into the wii and click on the homebrew channel. Click onto the wadmanagerIOS16 and install IOS16. After that is done, you have go into homebrew channel again..now click on the wadmanager1.3 and install the cIOS249. Then click onto homebrew channel one last time and click the downgrader provided and this is how i did it. Hope this helps,

I am not sure if there is another way to downgrade without Homebrew Channel. I would recommend getting it on your wii as it makes installing wads easy if you ever need to.
