Is this one fix the file Size error -4 on JPN Wii 4.1 firmware?

this might sound a daft question but what does the remove copy protection thing do?
will it allow you to play backups without the use of a loader?

Exactly how do you get the wii bricked. Or is it by an unknown factor?

The only ways I know how to do it is to run an update from a game of another region or to be stupid enough to remove the system menu.
