In my opinion (which doesn't carry much weight here) everyone needs to settle down and not worry about the new update. Currently the only change that means anything is loading VC games from the SD/SDHC which is not a must have for the Wii, although it is nice. As of now all the games can currently be played on a 3.2. What IS going to make a difference is when the new games require the firmware 4.0 in order to load which eventually someone will find a way to work around it. I remember when I used to have a PSP and the same thing would happen. The new 'hot' game would have a required firmware update in order to play it, everyone would freak out thinking that they would never be able to play it, then someone would find a way to use it on a modded system and the world would be at peace again. I think the same will happen on the Wii scene.

Why any of you homebrew users would want to 'upgrade' is beyond me! You gain some crappy SD card thing and lose most of the functionality of homebrew? Thats a poor trade off.
Been lookin around and apparently if you have cIOS249 installed prior to upgrading you can still downgrade as it isn't touched, also you will lose any VC wads that have been installed if you visit the shop channel. You have been warned!

I'm running 3.4 with homebrew installed. I do not have a modchip...just using softmods. As of last night my wii had not automatically downloaded/installed 4.0. I'm not planning to update until it is declared "safe."
