if you do not HBC..YOU CAN TRY SYSTEM MENU 4.0 PATCH...SEARCH FORUMS..NOT CHECKED IT MYSELF..NOT TO SURE..

Is there a way to disable update from internet? Because I want to put my wii at internet but I´m a little afraid that it updates itself without my order. Does the wii asks for me approve the update or update auto ? Is there anyway to block this auto update?
Ok so I have a friend about 2 hours away, I went up the other week and tried to softmod his 3.3 so I could play home brewed games and a few backups. Well I ran into an issue and didn't have time to look into it. So his system only had the HBC installed on it via the twilight hack.
His roommate thought he could fix it while he was stoned and some how managed to updated it to 4.0.
HBC is still installed.
I was not able to get cios installed on it. Is it to late? or when I go up this weekend should I still be able to install cios on it and finish the soft modding??

As you didn't install cIOS249 before the update you may as well leave your SD card at home! You won't be able to do anything with it... stoned room mates have a lot to answer for...

I have a question. If I have the HBC installed, and GekoOS on my card, can I use waninkoko's 4.0 updater so that I play newer games (Madworld, etc.), and get into the Wii Shop again? It won't let me shop till I update.
