Music Production & Remixing

Just wondering if there are any producers/remixers out there in Wii land.

How long have you been involved? What software do you use? What hardware you do you use? What genre(s) do you produce/remix?

Personally I have been producing off and on since 2001 (officially) [1999 unofficially].

Software that I use are: Fruity Loops (for creating loops when needed); Acid Pro (for arranging loops and add effects when needed); Sound Forge (when I need to edit and add effects to loops when needed); Ableton Live.

Hardware that I use varies from location to location. At home I use my main computer. At work I have two computers at my disposal.

I screw around with a few mp3s now and then if I get bored but I'm not into serious mixing.

i started in the late 80's early 90's with an atari ST, and an atari TT

Currently i do some stuff for personal use, mainly using Fruity loops, Ableton Live (the best thing ever invented for live work :P), Cubase for sequencing, and Finale or Sibelius for Midi.

Main equipment is a main PC with a MOTU 828mk3 Firewire Audio Interface, and a Auzen X-FI Prelude 7.1 analog output card for teh music.

Midi is controlled by a basic Korg Kontrol49.

Its not much of a setup, but it stops me getting bored

Mainly do Dance/techno type music, and classical (im a classically trained musician, so have been brought up with all types of music!)

Dance/tehno and any other similar styles is the only way to go.

True that, had some DJs from Melbourne in town about a week ago and they played a techno mix of Super Mario Bros. lol

I'm an amateur producer. Me and my friends are always recording stuff and I'm the one in charge of mixing/producing. I do mostly rock/alternative. Started about 2 years ago.
