Wii PAL / NTSC J / NTSC US which one?

Hi,

I have the option to buy a Nintendo wii, obviously i would like the cheapest option. Prices in my city are:

Wii PAL : 300 US$
Wii NTSC J: 300 US$
Wii NTSC US: 450 US$

I therefore like the WII PAL since its the lowest in cost and comes with WII Sports which i can play until i have my modchip delivered (will take a couple of months for me)

Also does D2PRo9 v2 the modchip to go for, any issues on a PAL Wii?
Like not being able to play all NTSC games, or something like that?

Also if I am lucky enough to get one of the older WII units (DMS,D2B,etc), would D2Pro9 v2 still be the best chip to go for since it has regular updates and is overall more popular?

the d2pro9 v2 works for all wii's :p and when you are installing it the wii-clip way, then u put 2 jumpers on jp1 and jp2 if u want a region free wii so when u burn games, it doesn't matter if they are usa, japan, or european. But if you don't feel like doing any work, i would just install it with the wii-clip without attaching any jumpers because so far all the games from other countries are on Wii ISOs * Wii Torrents iSO ROMs *.

If i were u i would get the pal wii because when u download the games, they are about half the size for some reason.

it really dosent matter about you wii's region if your have the d2pro9,i would recommand that you get one that is the same as your region because lets say you want to buy a game but your wii if from a different region you will not be able to play it if the game has a update. the wii will want to update but if you update you will brick, and the only way to get that game to work will be to dump it on your computer then brick block it. So that is why i recommand you to get a wii that is from your region.

If you update you will either fully brick or semi-brick. Most people have done what they call semi-bricking when installing other region updates. The end result is usually duplicate channels and such which can be fixed when the next update for your region is released.

Most all chips now have a brick-blocker feature built in to avoid such problems as well as saving you from having to dump and brick block.
