Best Wii version and mod to get?

I haven't bought a Wii yet. I couldn't justify paying for one until I knew for sure it could be modded. Now that I have some extra money and know there are mods out there, I'm in the market for a Wii. I'll probably be buying one off eBay (as I have credit there) and so I can pick and choose which version to get. So which one is the best to get? Easiest to mod? Able to still go online? Which mod would work the best? Easy to install? You know, all the newbie questions. Thanks

Kind of a gamble in Ebay as to buying a Wii. My conecern is that the owner putting it up for auction might of overplayed it, overheated the system, and ARTIFACTS on the Wii. My friend got burned on EBAY for a Wii he won. Owner stated that it was played a minimal amount of time but as soon as my friend powered up the Wii, major ARTIFACTS on the menu screen and to game play and not even 10 minutes Kapow screen just went Rainbow Brite. Good luck and hope u find that Wii you want.

Aight, no need for name calling.
Newbieone, if I were you I would never buy consoles off ebay simply because you run the risk of it being in shitty quality and then gettin into a fight getting called a liar because the seller had near 100% feedback. Not to mention most ebay Wiis are bundled with crap no1 cares about just to get some extra cash out of you.
Just buy it off a store because now day they are nowhere near as hard to find as they were 4-5 months ago. If you wanna get an idea of which Wii you are getting, you can copy the Wii Tracker data and just look at the serial numbers of the Wiis in store before you buy them.
I got the D2C2 Wii with D2Pro9 and it works like a charm. I've played about 10 games and none of them have given me a single problem. I would recommend that but it's also the most expensive.
