    Yaosm v3.2 any opinions??

May I please have some opinions on the Yaosm v3.2 modchip, as I have been offered this for a decent price (40) since I cant solder it myself on a D2B....

(Obviously I would like to go for some of the more popular modchip's as mentioned by Modderman, but no one is doing them in my vicinity other than a D2Ckey!)

it's good if you are into having it on the outside...so you can keep on changing the fw.

because of the very limited amount of memory..... apparently over 75% is use just to work the chip...

for more top notch info .....click here

or if you want one of the commercial chips.....just order a chip with a clip......for some that is a route to go.

Okay thanks for the reply Modderman, interesting that you say it needs many Fw updates (via the dvd?) i take it that the group is more active than others (shouldn't be a problem if all good stuff that add/change). And what exactly do you mean by the lack of memory - i think they have 128k so 512k would be more useful?
Also I read that they dont have 100% support for import backups, I take it that the other modchips do?

the pic chip memory is very limited in memory available when compared to some other chips....

the chips sells for about $1.25

you can usually get samples for free at microchip

the yaosm development is on-going..and yes ..lots of support...updates, etc.

I've got a YAOSM fitted (had it done also for 40 - including installation).

I've can honestly say I've had no problems with it (althugh i do use Sony DVD+R, they seem to work the best). I've also updted the FW, just burn it to a DVD like anything else.

Yes, I now have a modded Wii with the Yasom chip v3.2rc3 (since there was no other option to me, within my local area). But its all good stuff for the time being.

Now to start on this twillight hack I've heard, so that I can play some free VC games!?
Also quick question - this modechip should have no problems with me updating the firmware and getting onto Wiiconnect??
