    Wii modchip replacement.

Hi, i was wondering, ive had the Wiid modchip for some time and works flawlessly. but being that some things are coming up to stop modchips and that i see obviously that wiid isnt giving anymore support whatsoever. i wanted to get a wiikey now but i have a wiid already installed.. is it actually possible to remove it and get it replaced without blowing my wii to bits. Thank you.

If you used wire to connect the modchip, then it would be easy to replace the chip. But a direct soldered chip could be a little messy to remove, but do able with some soldering practice.
