I Wonder If This Is True ?
Microsoft is going to replace the chipset in current production XBOX 360's.

It would be really bad if microsoft did a major change to the CPU, i dont see it being true for performance increases maybe for heat issues and such.
Changing it now would anger previous owners and would cause issues with older x360s playing games made for a higher processor

If it is true it would be better if Microsoft said nothing as it would open up a whole can of worms for them.

Minor changes always take place in consoles after they're released, but if they are going to make any noticeable changes, it's going to piss off a lot of people.

Ya, there is no way that MS would ever change the CPU to be faster that would piss off the current XBOX owners and would probably kill the system in the long run.
However, you can be sure they will be making changes to the system like shrinking die size and things like that. This will allow them to reduce thier cost and either make a profit on the system or lower the price. But changes like this will not effect the speed of the system in anyway.

I just hope we can upgrade our current HD's to something like 120GB... I imagine they will since the movie service is gaining popularity....

early adopters cant sue microsoft over this because MS never tricked them into thinking they were getting a 65nm chip, HDMI, or a 120GB drive. They knew what they were and werent getting. Do you sue your car manufacturer every year when they update their models?

I agree with this I can see how 1st Gen buyers could be angry but it is over a year later and at that time they did indeed know what they were buying.
I will still wait until around X-mas to buy one though because I always wait to buy new consoles. Unless Fable 2 comes out lol

Kind of interesting. I took a peek at all the fliers in my local paper and almost every one has the Xbox 360 on sale but no other console is even present in any of them.
Coincidence?
