I downloaded this in the Marketplace and watched it in 720p and can still testify that this game is looking ugly. I know it's a work in progress, but right now it's looking like Halo 2+.

^ Yeah, I agree. Although Bungee has stated it's still in the works...I hope they can improve it a lot more because it has some large competition with Gears of War out there.

If they can't top Gears of war in terms of graphics there will be alot of angry halo fans. Although judging from the past I doubt they would ship this game without it being anything less then fantastic.

Well it's halo 3 you have seen what the first 2 halo games has bringed to the table this will be a great game probly the number 1 seller of the year but we shall not know untell it's finally out in stores.

Did we play Halo and Halo 2 for the graphics? I just thought it was a damn fun game. Do we play Wii for the graphics (god I hope not!) If the game is fun and people can;t get over graphics it is their own fault. case in point, one of my all time favorite new games is Metal Slug 6... compared to anything 3-D a side-scrolling 2-D game has crap for graphics, yet it is still immensely fun. I now I will still be counting frags on Live when Halo 3 comes out. Halo (and now "Gears") have been the only reasons for me to even bother with live.
