okwatanzinwan, No I actually found the problem I think. I read somewhere that I needed to use wmios35 to install ios36, but that did not work so I tried wad man 1.4 with ios35 but that didnt work either then I tried the default 249 and that worked! I've modded lots of stuff b4 but wow the wii takes alot of patients and reading and understanding and maintenance and I could go on. But I also got a chip which makes it really nice. But thank you for your help

1035 error means whatever your trying to install is already there and i think that should have been one of the first things installed to start the original softmod hoped i helped
