Netflix coming to Nintendo Wii, soon!

Well... I'm all for the streaming personally. Watch a movie, if I like it, I buy it. And I DO have an account with NetFlix, so yea, if I can watch them on my big screen with the fantastic resolution, I'm going to be all over that!

However... My concern is the buffer, does anyone have a 360 and can attest that the buffer is large enough to cover any networking "hiccups"? And if the buffer is too large for the internal memory, will it have an option to buffer to the SD?

I was trying to watch hulu on the wii, it tried but was not successful. Anyone have any luck streaming in opera, fullscreen good video.

well im sure that the wii will not be able to handle some of the videos that netflix has seeing how the wii can only display a max of 480p. I just prefer ripping the dvds to avi format and them popping them into the sd/hard drive and watching it on mplayer ce for the wii.

When they charge I will stop, there are others. I doubt they will charge- they make there money from the adds, they want you to watch. But if they do I will just watch it add free like I used to, and they can suck it.

All in all it has been good, I pay 35 dollors a month for dsl- no home phone, no cable, just skype, hulu, torrents, and usenet- what else could I want.

I have a 360 with netflix, and it does a pretty good job for the most part. On the 360 it will change the video quality while watching the movie as the bandwidth goes up and down. And it is only a half a sec stop when it steps it up and down. And yes it will step it up if your bandwidth improves. But I'm also paying to use their servers. I dont know when you stream movies if you are using xbox's servers or netflix's. But some of those movies are more than 480p. So maybe the wii will not have that hard of the time to stream a movie because its a smaller picture. The audio is always in 2 channel stereo. It wont send it as 5.1 surround sound. I work for Denon and that is the major complaint with netflix is that the receiver has to emulate a surround sound which you can only emulate so much from 2 channels. So for the purpose of home theater or living room viewing its gets as bad as some television shows. But that is if you can hear the difference between a true and emulated surround modes..
