Today & Tomorrow Channel Launches in Europe

Wii Today & Tomorrow channel debuts Wed, 09 Sep 2009

(adapted from original publication on Electricpig.co.uk at Tue, 08 Sep 2009 17:30:17)

Wii Today & Tomorrow, a new free Nintendo channel launching in Europe Wednesday, might just tide you over until then. It could even change your life too: the channel promises to sort out your world with a combination of horoscopes and “lifestyle tips”.

The Wii Today & Tomorrow channel, lets your Mii get a bit of Mystic Meg dealt out, with your destiny decided by a Japanese gaming giant instead of a tabloid columnist. Just register your Mii and your date of birth, and you’ll be able to get horoscopes in five different fields: love, work, communications, study and money.

Perhaps slightly disturbingly, the Wii Today & Tomorrow channel will even give you tips about what to eat, and chart your compatibility with up to 5 other Miis from day to day. Yes, all that by birthday alone: astrology is clever like that, isn’t it?

The Wii Today & Tomorrow channel will be free when it launches on Wednesday.

I wonder if this will become popular or will it be forgotten after about a week?

You know, Nintendo made this move after its success in Japan. Of course, Japan is where those little compatibility beepers were popular-a little heart showed on the screen when you were in the vicinity of a compatible member of this social group/company whatever.

OMG japanese are really weird... they have shows like takeshi's castle, transexual races, a man who blows candles from 5 meters distance with his one nosedrill... WTF? we are not same culture!

Whoa, I just noticed...you're a Senior member now-congratulations. That was fast. I think you joined about 2-3 weeks before I did. At what level do the special self-healing Wolverine PCs get awarded? Remember-Dogeggs's PC just fixed itself so it must be a Woverine PC.
