The Wii's Internet Channel has a new update available, one of the new features includes compatibility with the latest version of Abode Flash allowing for more site to be accessed. The Internet Channel is now available to download free as is the Nintendo DSi web browser. For those who paid for the Internet Channel in the past, Nintendo will allow you to download a free Virtual Console game worth 500 Nintendo points as a reimbursement. This special offer will run from October for the rest of the year so keep an eye out for an official starting date, aww... that's so sweet of you Nintendo!

Dear Customer,
Nintendo would like to inform you that an update to the Internet Channel is available.
Included in this update is a never version of Adobe Flash, making even more website content available to you.
Until now the Internet Channel was available to download from the Wii Shop Channel for 500 Wii Points. However, as Nintendo encourages all customers and their families to enjoy browsing from their sofas, the Internet Channel can now be downloaded for free.
For those that have purchased the Internet Channel for 500 Wii Points before, a special offer will be available from late October until the end of December. During this time period, you will be able to download a Virtual Console NES title worth 500 Wii Points for free.
When the exact time period for this offer is finalised, a notification will be sent out via the Wii Message Board and posted on the Nintendo of Europe Website.
