    Anyone else ever get depressed?

Meh, my birthday is coming up. i've spent the last 6 years and 7 months in chronic pain. I am not looking forward to turning 27.
Even the best fall down sometimes.

The best thing to do would be to talk to your regular care doctor and ask if they feel you need a referral to see a professional who deals with those types of issues. One stigma is that people who are depressed are just pessimistic and it's they're own fault they're down in the dumps, but there are actually physiological causes that can't be helped. Although depression is in the DSM, it along with schizophrenia are beginning to be seen as more of a medical condition instead of a psychological condition (even though lots of the methods of treatment included can be rooted in psychology.)

Damn it Scott! You have Depression.

Damn it Scott! You have leukemia.

When put it into terms of depression being a medical issue the statements above are rediculious. Nothing wrong with getting help. Hope everything works out for you!

In all seriousness, between working around the clock to make ends meet in this rough economy, only still end up behind the eight ball, a lot of people can probably relate. You are definitely not alone in terms of feeling blue, maybe for the same reasons... but trust me when I say rates of depression are up.

I personally think that there are a few ways to feel better when you are depressed. One is humor. The second is that you have to convince yourself that your life is pretty good in some ways. For example everyone here who is trying to give you advice looks like this:

Ok, fine, I was just joking, only oddgriffin looks like that. Anyways, have you ever uploaded a picture of yourself that looked like this?

I hope this isn't you because then I would feel bad for reposting it, but if it is you, well, HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Anyways, if you don't look like oddgriffin up there and you aren't the poo lady in the above pic, you at least have something good going for you! Dont matter how good it is though life is full of this:

So you need to at the very least try to think of yourself as the cat in the below picture, and all the bs you deal with as the dog.

OK, fine, that was me in the first pic, not oddgriffin.....sorry.

...And BTW you should feel really good right now because of two reasons.
First being that I have never seen any of the above guys get softhearted before and now their reps are ruined..lol..j/k
And second, I honestly believe that you have rendered some of our guys speechless. I have been trying to do that for a long time with no success and you did it in less than one hundred posts....that has GOT TO BE WORTH SOMETHING!!!!

On the bright side your not a pig
"The worst thing you can do is not to get old, but to close your mind to others that you think lack the experiences you have had. " Oddgriffin
"I don't mind having problems. I'm sure anyone who has spent time on here reading my rants will tend to agree." Darkcide666
