Don't kill the dog man! By the sounds of it, it was your brothers fault!
I get cranky at people who swim in the ocean and get attacked by a shark,
and then want to hunt it down and kill it! Why? You were the fool who entered
the sharks world, where the shark is the apex predator!
This is quite common in Australia due to the surfing/beach going culture!

Okay, so it seems like most people agree with me that it was not the dog his fault. My Mom has been explained by a professional what was most likely the case by hearing my story. She wants to give him a second chance, so he should be staying. I've come close to his face too, though, and have never been bitten. It was probably just that he doesn't really have a relationship with my bro, and getting into his face was a little too threatening. Looks like a happy end after all.

    Thank you for your opinions.

DOGS WILL NEVER ATTACK unless they are being told to or you do something to warrant their response hit them etc.....

There should always be one dominated owner Alpha male/female one person the dog respects and knows their will be consequences.

Dont play with guard dogs no matter how sweet you are without there owner your in their turf...

I don't think anyone would stand there and get beat up.....i personally would destroy a person i see harming a dog (literally)

One example is people play with the dog and pull the hand or dog jumps up with open mouth ...thats not a bite thats human stupidity****

No he should be given another chance. If you were him wouldnt you appreciate it?

Perhaps get him into training right now?

Perhaps look at post #13 ninjashoes and you might realize a decision has already been made (unless your response was purely an intellectual exercise, hmm?)
