    Lightbulb I have converted!

I am now a Firefox user!

I used Firefox before, but only on rare occasions when I had problems with IE. For me, Internet Explorer plus IE7Pro was perfect. I had tried Firefox, but didn't like it as much because it used up a lot more memory, and I wasn't familiar with the settings.

Ever since I got Windows 7, Internet Explorer has been crashing on me constantly. I don't know if it is related to IE8 being part of Windows 7, but I didn't have this problem with IE8 on Vista. Since I switched to Firefox, it has only crashed once or twice, but that was because I was running too many programs. Memory isn't an issue for Firefox anymore, since I have 4GB of RAM. The question I'm asking myself is, what's next? Perhaps I will be the 8th Linux user in the world!

For those of you who used to use IE, but now use Firefox, what made you change?

Dual boot, virus protection for your downloads (i do not support downloading pr0n, which would probably give you the viruses) with linux, windows for the compatabilities with games. I'm going to do this with my computer for college.

I used firefox but it loads slower than IE on my dial-up. Chrome is a pro at speed though, i would use that if i could download it on my internet. I use it on my brother's laptop when he comes home from college.

I only ever crash when i got about 5 wiihacks tabs open and then going to blizzard to see if they ever recieved my email to unban my account (stupid hackers, blizz gave me WoW for free and i hadn't even played on it and its already been hacked and banned). I know gold farmers have to feed their families, but i have to feed my urge at PwNiNg n00bz.

I don't like Chrome. I also suspect that the reason Google sites are faster is because they made it slower on other browsers. Right after Chrome was released, Google sites (search, calendar, gmail, etc.) got slower on everything else, but it was just the regular speed on Chrome.

Conspiracy theory! but I agree on your thoughts. I use IE for surfing and wiihacks, I use firefox for all my school needs, its got all my data saved for quick acess. I am happy to hear you like firefox what skin are you using>?

I still haven't picked a skin, although I will probably go with an Internet Explorer one. I have managed to get addons for most of IE7Pro's features, so I don't have to change too much stuff around.

The only thing that is frustrating me now is the way Firefox handles favorites (or bookmarks in this case). It was a lot easier to add and sort bookmarks with IE in my opinion, and I liked the little arrow on the end of each bookmark that would allow me to open it in a new tab. Now if I want to do so, I have to hold control or right-click on it first.

I know! It drives me crazy too! Its almost not worth the hassle *assuming IE works fine*

I wish I knew what is different with IE8 on Windows 7. By now I will probably use Firefox over 50% of the time should it be solved, but it would be nice to have a dual-browser thing going. I've never liked being tied-down (unless it is the awesome kind, if you know what I mean ).

I am assuming your not talking about the jackass 3 kind of tied down? how many tabs do you have open when it crashes?

I meant the spring break kind of tied down.

    Anywhere from 1 to 8. I can't find a commonality.
