    Christmas toys

I want to go ahead and start this now. I went ahead and got myself something for christmas so I can finally get my music going again.

Did anyone else get anything yet?

That's too crazy man. I just picked up my sax earlier today to start practicing again. I've decided to get back to my roots. Great minds do think alike apparently lol.

Nothing purchased, but getting the chance and desire to play again is a gift in itself after the last couple years.

Well, I bought a Cort acoustic a couple of weeks ago. It has a pickup and tuner built in as well as being cut-away to get to those higher notes. It has been almost 20 years since I had anything that nice and I am gonna start a little collection.
Next will probably be a classical acoustic, then either a 12 string or fender type of electric.

It is nice to get back into since my passion for acoustic was something completely seperate from this new electronic world, but now I can use that to enhance it as well.

I usually wait until the week after to buy myself presents...That way I'm sure to collect my Christmas money including money that was mailed to me. I need at least two hard drives. One for my PC because I had one of my 1TBs started to fail a couple of months back so I removed all data and took it out of the equation before failure. You have to love S.M.A.R.T.. So I've been having to deal with a 1TB and a 160GB for a while now and I need more room. I also need to pick up at least a 1.5TB for the Wii...My current 1GB isn't cutting it any more (just because I want more room) and it would make it a lot easier for me to ditch WBFS at the same time.

I take back what I said earlier. I did pick up a little something for myself, and also a bit of a treat for the family (but mostly myself).

2 of these: Beef Summer Sausage | Hickory Farms

and 1 of these: Cheese Ball Party Pack Gift Box | Hickory Farms

They arrive tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to chowing down on them.

But for myself, as a "get your butt back on that horn" kind of present, I purchased this awesome (awesome) app: iReal Book

I would've killed for something like this years ago. It lets me practice the changes for all my standards anywhere, in any key with a realtime backing track, that I've got my phone and some earbuds. -- Just awesome.

As for Saturday though, I'm looking forward to giving my younger cousin his gift more than anything else. I've been working on it and buying it in small parts since October. The SD card comes in today, and that's the final piece. He's getting a brand new (used) boot2 Wii fully decked out by yours truly, along with a brand new WD elements drive I picked up in a newegg sale for $20 thanks to desperado836.

He's had it rough, too many things no one should ever have to experience. So I'm looking forward to giving him something cool and unique like this. Plus I got his family a whole gift package from Hickory Farms, too. That stuff will make anyone happy lol.
