She's 45 and can't remember any passwords.
But I still love her, lol
Good to see I'm not alone. Maybe we need to start our own support group. At least my mom has learned to stop clicking yes to everything and to call me before installing anything off of the internet. I used to have to clean up stuff like BonziBUDDY because she thought the ape was cute and could pronounce her name. My wife is almost as bad sometime but her access is limited for damage control and she really doesn't understand how Linux works. As long as she has photo access, media player access, and Facebook she's usually good. But if I currently had a Windows install believe me she would fudge it up within a day or two if it didn't fail on its own. I could take administrative access away from my mom but my step dad likes to get on and play computer pro because he was decent back in the DOS days. He screws things up every now and again but it might hurt his pride and they don't want individual accounts.
I don't care about helping them, but when it comes to typing things up for them i hate that. I also hate that if i do ANYTHING on the computer and my dad walks in and sees it he makes me a answer a series of who's, what's, where's, and why's. For instance, today i was taking stuff off my flash drive to format it, and he comes in demanding to know what I'm doing, what for, how long will it take, and why am i doing it.
Yeah...I guess that would be annoying. I never had to answer to anyone. My mom was always clueless about computers. She didn't really get into fumbling about on her own PC until about a decade ago but ever since my first TRS-80 as a kid she made sure I had one. Weird huh? I was always able to talk down anything she thought I might have been doing or that she had seen on 60 minutes or whatever talk show she had watched that day.
Nightstah, i probably would have said something along the lines of that if i had read it too, and if i wasn't as tired as i am. I'm only awake so late because i missed the episode of bleach on at 10:00 so i have to wait for CN east to play it at 1:00.
