Erasing WBFS Partition and Save Data?

I need to format my current WBFS drive for another use and I was wondering what will happen to my saved games? That data is saved on the Wii, but when I recreate the WBFS partition will the Wii recognize these games differently and cause my current save data to be unusable?
Why do I ask sooooo many questions?
    Because I DON'T LIKE BRICKS!
    Better safe than sorry!

No problems with save data on Wii if you change hard drive formats...
