Disk eject software (homebrew) solution.
Had an interesting situation I thought I would share.
My son dropped his wii console some time ago, and damaged onehalf of the front faceplate to the point that it was hanging off. I guess he was manually moving it into position to eject his disks, but the whole mechanism eventaully became broken.
I know there are some other physical damage done to the wii and I plan to get him another when I can. The thing is, it stills plays his disks fine, but he can't eject it and the mechanism is broken, and I don't want to physicall mess with it any further as far as taking things apart.
I know there is no settings in the wii to activate the eject button, but I was wondering if there was a homebrew app that could do it.
Ahh indeed there is, it is called Wii Homebrew - Eject DVD v0.1 (google it)
Just click on the app and the disk ejects without having to physically mess with anything else.
just thought I would share this, since I have never heard of this app and never hear of this situation happening to ppl, but I'm sure it does.
JoostinOnline made a forwarder, and it can be found here.
