If you get one of those usb single slot multi format readers, it may work. Not one of the multislot reader.

    Perhaps something similar to this
    Transcend TS-RDP5K USB2.0 Compact Card Reader - TS-RDP5K - Buy.com

I agree, not a multislot reader, but I think the Wii still gets confused with a multiformat despite the single slot because they still show up as multiple drives. So I looked this one up:

Amazon.com: Sony MSAC-US30 Memory Stick USB Reader/Writer: Electronics

Unfortunately, it's 10X the cost of the Transcend with no guarantee that either unit will work. It would be nice to know if the Transcend works, though.

Sorry about getting off-topic, RandomlyPredicatable. Bottomline for you is that there are experienced members and staff here who remain on 3.2 without problem. We just occasionally need to add an IOS, with Priiloader blocking the game disc updates, no IOS updates are needed, just a onetime new IOS addition on rare occasion. I believe we 3.2 users also tend to play off USB devices or hard drives so little need for SDHC cards.

I think I may find a multicard reader that has an external power source, only because Nintendo's only recommended USB hub is one that has an external power source, so my thinking is that if a multicard reader has an external power source then just maybe it will work. I think I need one anyways, my computer's factory installed SD reader is giving me problems, so a perfect opportunity to do some Wii experimenting too.
