Apple seems to keep pushing the limits of handheld technology. I still haven't bought into the ipod craze Everyone I know seems to always have issues and sends them away for repair. I think steve jobs will be able to buy a planet after this release :P

I have owned the 1st gen Ipod Nano since it came out. I have not had any problems with it so far... not even with the screen scratches....

The phone just looks awsome, but i think the price point is to high for there to be a craze.... unless the carrier drops the price to about $299... i don't see it beating out the popularity of even the razr....

There's a huge gray market potential for this if it works outside North America (and it should.) My friend who is a Sony fanboy and Apple hater is willing to give up buying a PS3 for this

I agree with Fatal that the price point is too high. I think as well that making it available exclusively from Cingular is a mistake, pretty much locking out the other 65% or whatever customers that aren't Cingular customers and ensuring no real competition.

The thing with Cisco is just unreal. iPhone is a cool name, but Cisco got there first and Apple will ultimately pay a price. They can't just ignore copyright laws cause the technology is so cool.

I think apple will either try to buy the rights or pay to use the name, either way apple may find it worth it as everyone calls it the iphone anyways, the savings alone on marketing may make it worth it.....

I think cisco may just be using the lawsuit as pressure to sign some contract with apple for the name. to show they mean business
